Yondr is a Dutch owner-operator and service provider of edge and cloud data centers. The company builds and operates hyperscale data centers.
The company offers three types of data centers: 1) HyperBloc - for large campuses which scales up to 300 megawatts (MW), 2) MetroBloc - for dense urban areas, scaling up to 150MW, and 3) MicroBloc - for proximity local needs, scaling up to 2MW. Yodr data centers provide embedded security, including a dedicated technical team, working around the clock. Yondr has committed to the EU Climate Neutral Data Centre Pact to achieve climate neutrality in data centers and cloud infrastructure by 2030.
As of March 2024, Yondr Group and JK Land Holdings were building a sustainable 96MW data center in Loudoun County, Northern Virginia, aiming for net zero carbon emissions by 2030.
Yondr Group has aggressively expanded its global data center footprint, announcing major projects in Northern Virginia (96MW announced in 2023), Malaysia (200MW announced in 2022), the UK (100MW announced in 2021), and Germany (40MW announced in 2021).
Funding and financials
In June 2023, Yondr Group partnered with Apollo Global Management to support its international growth and meet client demand for data center services. The partnership aims to enhance Yondr's strategic growth plan and provide innovative infrastructure solutions in response to the increasing need for cloud capacity.
