Kiss the Ground is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting regenerative agriculture and healthy soil as solutions for climate change, water conservation, and human wellness. Founded in 2013, the organization focuses on raising awareness about the potential of regenerative practices through education, storytelling, and advocacy. Kiss the Ground's primary objective is to increase public understanding of regenerative agriculture, aiming to reach a tipping point where 12% of the US adult population recognizes its significance. As of May 2023, 4% of US adults fully grasped the importance of regenerative agriculture.
The nonprofit has expanded its reach through various media initiatives. In partnership with Big Picture Ranch, Kiss the Ground has produced two films: "Kiss The Ground," available on Netflix, and "Common Ground." These documentaries serve as educational tools, illustrating how regenerating soils can stabilize the Earth's climate, restore ecosystems, and enhance food production. The organization also provides resources such as a Guide for Regenerative Agriculture and conducts research to track the progress of the regenerative movement.
