AccuKnox, formed in partnership with Stanford Research Institute (SRI), offers a zero-trust cloud native application protection platform (CNAPP) based on patented container security, network security, anomaly detection utilizing unsupervised AI/ML, and data provenance inventions.
From development to runtime, the CNAPP platform continuously monitors applications with the use of AI-driven anomaly detection to identify anomalous and malicious activity and auto-generates bespoke zero-trust policies for each application.
Built on open source, AccuKnox’s platform has applications and use cases spanning multiple aspects of cloud computing, including networks, applications, IoT/Edge, and 5G environments.
Key customers and partnerships
AccuKnox is a key supporter and collaborator of cloud-native computing foundation’s (CNCF) Kubernetes runtime security platform KubeArmor, which had seen 300,000+ downloads as of March 2023.
Funding and financials
In March 2023, the company raised USD 6 million in a seed prime funding round led by MDSV with participation from Avanta Ventures, Dolby Family Ventures, and other new and returning investors. The new funding was to be funneled toward commercialization and R&D efforts for its platform and CNCF platform KubeArmor.
