German-based Medipee is developing a urine monitoring platform and digital measuring device containing a retractable sensor that can be attached to the outside of a toilet seat for urine analysis.&nbsp;The Medipee App can be used as a standalone tracking tool or in combination with Medipee’s measuring device. The optional measuring device automatically analyzes various parameters using different cartridges that accompany the device. The cartridge contains up to 30 single-use urine test strips that are placed in the toilet by the device’s measuring arm. The company plans to create cartridges covering all conventional urine test values, including blood, ketone, glucose, pH, pregnancy, ovulation, and special markers for drugs or cancer.&nbsp;Once it detects urine flow, the device automatically collects data and sends it directly via Bluetooth to its cloud-based platform, which is accessible through a smartphone, tablet, or computer. The app’s AI-based algorithm evaluates the data and produces information on drinking and eating behavior, urination frequency, and urination amount.
