Smart.Vet

Based in Canada, Smart.Vet is a business-to-business (B2B) veterinary telehealth platform that connects veterinarians with pet owners. Smart.Vet platform offers clinic services such as online scheduling of appointments, communication (video, phone, and message) between veterinarians and pet owners, and eCommerce services. As of May 2020, Smart.Vet offered services starting at USD 99 (which included two consulting accounts) where additional consulting accounts thereafter were priced at USD40 per month per account. 

 In June 2020, the company partnered with Merck Animal Health and ROYAL CANIN to expand veterinary telehealth services. Further, the company has also partnered with pet-food company Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets. As of April 2021, Smart.Vet’s virtual care platform had served over 21,700 pet owners and 2,300 veterinarians across Canada; the US and the UK.

 In April 2021, Smart.Vet entered into a partnership with Hill's Pet Nutrition, a leading pet food brand, and myVETstore, an online platform offering pet food and other products. The partnership enables veterinarians to recommend and discuss the brands’ products related to therapeutic nutrition, medications, and more during virtual consultations with pet owners on the Smart.Vet platform. The pet owners will then be allowed to directly purchase the product through Smart.Vet for delivery.
