Founded by Matt Compton, former software engineer at IBM and senior director of product and strategy at Salesforce, Filo.co (formerly known as Spaces by High Alpha) was launched under High Alpha’s (venture capital and private equity firm in Indiana) incubator program. The platform offers customizable video conferencing spaces for distributed teams, workshops, and events. In April 2021, Filo announced its partnership with Zoom Video Communications, which allows the platform to build its video conferencing solution on top of Zoom. The company also joined Zoom’sIndependent Software Vendor (ISV) Partner Program.
Additionally, Filo.co announced Jeffrey K. Rohrs as the company’s Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) in April 2021. Rohrs brings with him more than 15 years of SaaS marketing experience. He has served in management roles at Yext (a digital knowledge management platform), Salesforce, and Jobvite (talent acquisition suite) prior to joining Filo.
In May 2021, the company announced the launch of a virtual hub designated for sales teams. The hub is intended to support sales meeting requirements, including sales kickoffs, sales coaching and enablement, and field marketing events, among others.
Filo.co announced that it finalized USD 3 million in a seed funding round co-led by Flyover Capital and High Alpha Capital in October 2021. The company plans to use the fresh funds for product development, deepening its Zoom integration, and expanding go-to-market efforts.
The platform serves 20 customers which includes Techstars, Crowdiff in Toronto, the University of Wisconsin in Madison, and the ALS Association, among others.
