Classpack is a company based in Spain that manufactures biodegradable and compostable products for the packaging sector. Classpack's patented technology employs two elements: Kraft paper and PLA (poly-lactic acide), a biodegradable, biocompatible, and renewable thermoplastic polyester that is mainly derived from corn starch. Classpack offers a range of 100% bio-based containers in order to comply with European regulations on single-use packaging products. It claims to be the only company that uses bio-based materials exclusively, without additives of fossil origin (oil).
