Resolve Esports is a UK-based esports team organization with both male and female rosters competing in League of Legends. The organization officially launched in January 2020 and competed in the UK League Championship (UKLC) and UK Esports League (UKEL), mid-tier UK League of Legends competitions. Resolve emerged victorious in the UK Esports League (UKEL) in July 2020 and went on to win the UKLC in March 2021. In addition to competing, the team also retails merchandise through its online store.
In May 2021, Resolve Esports announced the acquisition of esports team organization Barrage Esports. Resolve will take over the entire business operations of its UK-based counterpart. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 2014, Barrage Esports consisted of 40 members and its rosters mainly competed in League of Legends esports competitions. Through the acquisition, Resolve will accept Barrage’s Northern League of Legends Championship (NLC) spot and take in several Barrage Esports employees. This includes Jeff Simpkins, Barrage Esports’ former owner, who will resign from his role as Managing Director and take up an advisory role for Resolve. The entire workforce will not be absorbed; however, Resolve has financially compensated Barrage Esports employees who will not be joining the organization.
