Arkhn is a company that provides a comprehensive data management solution designed specifically for healthcare institutions. Their platform enables the integration and standardization of diverse healthcare data, including clinical notes, examinations, imaging, and biological data, into secure and modern data architectures. Arkhn employs advanced natural language processing (NLP) and data engineering techniques to standardize data in the FHIR (Fast healthcare Interoperability Resources) format. This approach empowers medical teams to deliver better patient care by facilitating data integration and accessibility.
Arkhn's solution aims to address the fragmentation and data silos prevalent in the healthcare industry, where various medical software vendors use their proprietary database formats. By consolidating and standardizing data, Arkhn enables healthcare establishments to regain control and sovereignty over their data assets. This, in turn, supports better patient care, streamlines the work of healthcare professionals, and accelerates research initiatives.
Arkhn's expertise lies in developing secure, in-situ data architectures that adhere to ethical principles and maintain data confidentiality. Their approach involves decentralized data analysis, preserving data privacy while enabling collaborative research and innovation across healthcare ecosystems.
Key customers and partnerships
In June 2022, Arkhn collaborated with Owkin, an AI company focused on healthcare, and the National Institute for Research in Digital Science and Technology (Inria) on the "OncoLab" project. This EUR 11 million initiative aims to make cancer data from healthcare establishments accessible to the broader ecosystem for research and innovation purposes. Arkhn's role in the project is to develop data architectures for four participating institutions: the Institut universitaire du cancer de Toulouse Oncopole (IUCT-Oncopole), Institut Curie, Institut Bergonié, and the Toulouse University Hospital (CHU de Toulouse).
In September 2023, Arkhn partnered with Surge, a healthcare AI company, to develop PRISMA (Precision Risk Intelligence for Surgical Monitoring and Analysis). This project, funded by the Île-de-France region, aims to create a real-time tool for predicting post-operative risks at the Hôpital Foch. Arkhn's contribution involves deploying a modern data architecture to integrate and leverage the hospital's clinical, administrative, and biological data, enabling Surge's AI algorithms to generate personalized risk scores for each patient.
