Keo World

Keo World (Keo) is a B2B BNPL provider operating across six markets including the United States, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Dominic Republic, and Ecuador. Its offering includes “Keopay”, its BNPL product for small businesses, and “Workeo”, which targets medium-sized businesses. Its BNPL solutions enable merchants to offer installment financing for business transactions exclusively through American Express. In addition, Keo claims to be the first Non-Bank Financial Institution to receive an issuing license by American Express in Mexico. The platform does not conduct credit checks, instead, its technology reviews business transactional data to approve loans. As of February 2022, the company reported that it had more than 16,000 clients and had facilitated over 58,000 BNPL transactions.

Funding and financials

KEO World raised USD 20 million in equity funding led by Montreux Growth Partners in June 2022 . The round coincided with a debt facility from Hayfin Capital Management. The funding supported the company’s plans to expand operations and lending activities across the US and LatAm. Funds were also diverted to further developing “Workeo,” which targets small and medium-sized businesses. This followed its seven-year USD 500 million debt facility from Hayfin Capital Management in February 2022 .
