German health tech startup Patronus is a medical alert system that uses a digital watch software solution for seniors through which users can contact emergency call centers at all times. These centers, in turn, have access to users’ health records and caregiver information. The company’s software is paired with a German telecom partner for both at-home and GPS functions for outdoor use. The company also has partnered with several care providers to give its users access to local assistance.
Funding and financials
In May 2022, the company raised USD 7 million in an oversubscribed seed funding round led by Cavalry Ventures. The funds were set aside for enhancing its digital products for seniors. The company also planned to build a platform through which all participants in their senior caregiving operations can collaborate.
