Microsure specializes in developing robot-assisted microsurgery systems. The company's flagship product under development is MUS-3, a microsurgical robot designed to enhance precision, stability, and control in open microsurgery procedures. MUS-3 builds upon the success of its predecessor, MUS-2, offering improved dexterity, a wider workspace, and tremor reduction capabilities. The system is compatible with surgeons' existing micro-instruments from various brands and can be used across various surgical procedures. MUS-3 allows surgeons to operate from a console using digital exoscopes or hybrid surgical microscopes, improving ergonomics and comfort.
Clinical studies have been conducted at Maastricht University Medical Center in the Netherlands and Uppsala Academic Hospital in Sweden, involving approximately 50 patients across various surgical indications. Additionally, in vitro studies have demonstrated the ergonomic benefits for surgeons and the potential applications in neurosurgery.
