Freespira is an FDA-approved digital therapeutic solution to treat panic attacks, panic disorders, and PTSD symptoms over 28 days by training users to normalize respiratory irregularities.

The Freespira platform combines a proprietary sensor, a nasal cannula, connected tablet, patented software, and telehealth services to provide real-time breathing regulation exercises with a coach. The sessions are 17 minutes long and are conducted twice a day for 4 weeks. Patients can seek treatment through their health plans, insurers, or healthcare providers.

Founded in 2013, the Washington-based company (previously known as Palo Alto Health Sciences) raised USD 10 million in a Series D funding round that brought its total funding to USD 20.2 million.
