The usage of Charac’s app was expected to reach 100,000 patients by early 2024 and the company aimed to acquire around 30% of the UK's 12,000 pharmacies by 2026. Key customers and partnershipsCharac partnered with the National Pharmacy Association (NPA) in October 2022 to help accelerate the digital transformation of pharmacies in the UK. Through the partnership, the NPA and Charac created an ecosystem where pharmacies could get access to necessary funding and technology to provide healthcare services. Funding and financialsThe company last raised funds in February 2024, when it raised an undisclosed sum in a private equity funding round led by Traditum. This brings the total funds raised by the company to around GBP 4 million (USD 5.1 million). The new investment was intended to further augment Charac's online platform for independent pharmacies and boost its expansion within the UK market and internationally.

Winston allows patients to consult doctors, place orders for prescription drugs, and offers free delivery to the homes of patients.The Toronto-based company aims to avoid men deferring doctor visits or withholding sensitive information. The consultation fee is covered by the provincial health plan, but the prescriptions are billed to the customer.

The users have 24/7 access to doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals via audio, video, and chat options for wide arrays of physical and mental health needs, artificial intelligence-enabled (AI-enabled) triage, referrals, and prescription renewals.
