Q2

Q2 is a FinTech provider of consumer lending and digital banking. It also provides white-label infrastructure for banks, credit unions, and FinTechs to develop banking and lending FinTech solutions. Banking services offered through its platform include customer onboarding, deposit processing, debit cards services, and payment solutions, among others. The platform also allows enterprises to act on their customer data with AI, instant messaging, and targeting features.

As of 2019, the Q2 platform catered to dozens of FinTech clients and accounted for over 5 million end users. As of March 2021, the company claimed that 10% of digital banking customers in the US were using Q2’s platform.

In May 2020, Q2 dissolved its partnership with the digital deposit network after about two years to form its Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) solution, Cambr. This was later rebranded as “Q2 BaaS” while StoneCastle continued to focus on its core deposit management business and retained the Cambr brand name.

In May 2021, Q2 partnered with Moven, a FinTech infrastructure provider, to develop a ‘Bank-in-a-Box’ solution for financial institutions with a 30-day deployment schedule. The solution combines Q2’s core BaaS processing system and Moven’s financial wellness tech to enable credit unions and community and regional banks to compete with digital banks.
