The company was established in 1980 on the belief that where food comes from, and how it’s grown, matters. For them, it meant creating quality standards, working with suppliers who achieve them, and sharing that information with their customers. The company prides itself for selling food products without artificial preservatives, colors, flavors, sweeteners, and hydrogenated fats. To date, Whole Foods has over 450 stores in North America and the United Kingdom.
