Turion Space develops satellites for space situational awareness and orbital debris removal. The company's primary offering is the Droid satellite series, designed to track and monitor objects in space. In June 2023, Turion launched its first satellite, Droid.001, a 32-kilogram spacecraft equipped with sensors to provide precise measurements of space objects and their locations. The satellite's data integrates with the US Space Force's Unified Data Library. The company offers three payload hosting options: Droid Alpha Mini, Droid Alpha, and Droid Alpha Enhanced Mobility with ion thrusters. The enhanced mobility thrusters are co-produced with Desert Works Propulsion. As of September 2023, Turion's technology helped track space objects. The company's business model includes providing warning systems to satellite owners about possible collisions and assisting in moving satellites away from potential hazards. Turion aims to expand its capabilities to include asteroid mining operations in the 2030s.
