Sappi was originally established as South African Pulp and Paper Industries. Headquartered in South Africa, Sappi is a globally diverse wood fiber company which aims to provide dissolving pulp for the manufacture of viscose staple fiber (VSF), packaging, speciality papers, graphic papers (ranging from silicone-based paper, greaseproof paper and release paper used as a cast in the production of synthetic leather), as well as biomaterials and biochemicals, to customers in more than 150 countries. Sappi is keen on exploring numerous energy opportunities, utilizing biomass as fuel for the zero-carbon circular economy.
