Grafbase is a Swedish data platform that enables developers to serverlessly deploy GraphQL backends. Users can create a local GraphQL endpoint from their own terminals (such as Next.js, Remix and Nuxt), with a complete backend that includes integrated application programming interfaces (APIs) and databases. The company operates across the EU and the US with a team of remote developers. As of October 2022, the company claimed that the platform had been used for “hundreds of projects” such as mobile, e-commerce, and Jamstack backends, since it was launched in August of that same year.

Funding and financials

In October 2022, Grafbase raised USD 5 million in seed funding, led by Next47, to accelerate its product development and double its employee base.
