Priori

Priori is a marketplace for legal freelancers. The platform allows companies to hire outside counsel to support their in-house counsel on a project basis. The platform performs attorney vetting (10% admission rate), matchmaking, billing, and invoicing for clients. 

In September 2023 , Priori broadened its product offerings by including legal operations professionals. This included professionals specialized in supporting legal functions, implementing legal tech solutions, and managing change within legal departments.

The platform charges a management fee on top of the lawyer fees from clients and its freelancers.

Funding and financials

In July 2022, Priori raised USD 15 million in a Series A-1 funding round led by Eagle Proprietary Investments. Funds were earmarked to scale operations, discover new attorney talent, and manage their existing outside counsel relationships.

As of October 2020, it reported more than 1,500 lawyers across 47 countries, including a network covering all 50 states in the US.
