Elicio

Elicio is an international renewable energy producer that focuses on developing, constructing, and maintaining onshore and offshore wind energy parks. The company employs cutting-edge technology and collaborates with major European energy suppliers, driven by a team of approximately 80 employees across five countries: Belgium, France, Spain, Serbia, and Scotland.

Elicio's offshore wind portfolio includes the Norther wind farm, a 370 MW project located 23 kilometers off the Belgian coast in the North Sea. The Norther wind farm comprises 44 turbines and is jointly owned by Elicio (50%) and Dutch energy company Eneco (50%). Elicio has secured significant projects, such as the Pennavel floating offshore wind farm in Brittany, France, and the 960 MW Buchan Offshore Wind farm off the coast of Scotland.

On the onshore front, Elicio operates wind farms like the Alibunar wind farm in Serbia. In February 2023, Elicio's Serbian subsidiary announced plans to construct two wind farms with a combined capacity of 60 MW in Pancevo, northern Serbia.

Key customers and partnerships

Elicio partners with major European energy companies for its projects. The Norther offshore wind farm is co-owned with Dutch energy supplier Eneco, while the Buchan Offshore Wind farm involves a third partner. Elicio collaborates closely with local stakeholders, such as professional fishermen, environmental experts, and representatives of the industrial value chain, to develop its projects responsibly.

For the Pennavel floating offshore wind project in France, Elicio partnered with BayWa r.e. and signed industrial local content commitment charters with five French regional clusters. The consortium aims to foster transparency and work closely with local communities, allocating EUR 5 million to support socio-economic activities related to the project in the Brittany and Pays de la Loire regions.
