Afterparty offers an NFT marketplace and streaming platform, along with creator tools to launch NFTs. Afterparty’s community includes a number of prominent creators in the crypto and entertainment space, such as Sia, Nile Rogers, Josh Duhamel, Heidi Klum, Loren Gray, King Back, and Vinnie Hacker.
Funding and financials
In September 2023, the company raised USD 5 million in a strategic growth round led by Blockchange Ventures. It planned to use the funds for product development, particularly the launch of Afterparty AI, which is expected to enable creators to scale personalized fan interactions through AI voice, photo, and video messaging. The round followed its USD 4 million unsolicited funding from a group of over 25 investors, including Paris Hilton’s 11:11 Media, Spencer Rascoff (Zillow), Jason Calacanis (The Syndicate), David Friedberg (The Production Board), Acrew Capital, and TenOneTen Ventures, in April 2022 . The funds will be used to accelerate platform development, including its newly announced NFT ticketing platform, which enables artists to use NFTs as a tool to offer their fans access to interactive real-world experiences, such as creative festivals and artist events. In March 2022, the company demonstrated the NFT ticketing concept with its first NFT-gated music and art festival in Las Vegas, headlined by The Chainsmokers and The Kid LAROI and participated by over 6,000 attendees.
