Lithos Energy designs and manufactures custom high-performance lithium-ion battery packs using a technology known as Lithos Energy Gen4. The company claims that this technology offers improvements in both energy and power density and the modules are designed for high-volume production. Lithos’ range of products include, low voltage packs, high voltage packs, rack mount products and EV batteries.
The company’s products include Lithos Low Voltage battery packs which are used in applications such as stationary storage, solar, off-grid and battery backup systems which require lower voltages. The Lithos High Voltage battery packs serve marine, electric and hybrid electric vehicles and are targeted for aerospace and military applications. The Lithos Rack Mount battery packs are custom-built for customers in the telecom and data center industries. Lastly, Lithos Motorsport are custom-built liquid-cooled battery packs used for EVs and hybrid vehicles.
in September 2023, Lithos launched its latest generation of batteries. Its High Voltage System is a 2170 cylindrical-based pack and its Low Voltage System is a high density 2170 cylindrical-based system. The company intends to begin mass production of these in 2024.
Lithos designs and manufactures all battery packs in-house at its facility in San Rafael, California. In November 2023, the company opened a 65,000 sq.ft. pilot line facility in Hayward, California to manufacture Lithos’ high-performance and high-durability battery pack systems.
Key customers and partnerships
In February 2024, Lithos partnered with Integrated Micro-Electronics, to produce electronics systems for Lithos’ battery products in the Philippines.
Funding and financials
