Datacore is a Software-defined Storage (SDS) software company that provides storage solutions for the cloud, edge, and core.

DataCore’s product portfolio consists of three primary products: SANsymphony – an SDS solution for SAN and hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) environments; Swarm – a provider of on-premises object storage solutions for private and hybrid cloud environments; and Bolt – an enterprise-grade Kubernetes storage platform that offers data persistence for container and cloud-native ecosystems.

DataCore claims to provide optimum flexibility, allowing customers to control how data is stored, protected, and accessed.

Pricing is based on consumption and split into tiers: Enterprise, Standard, and Business.

In January 2023, DataCore acquired Object Matrix, a media archive specialist and object storage pioneer. In 2021, DataCore acquired MayaData – a container automation and monitoring platform provider, and Caringo – a storage solutions provider for long-term retention, remote access, and distribution. 

Key customers and partnerships

DataCore has 10,000+ customers operating in industries such as healthcare, education, media and entertainment, as well as the government sector. Its customers include NASA, Thorntons, Pacific Star, RSD, Evergreen, TUI Cruises, Mission Community Hospital, and ExCeL London.

Some of DataCore’s strategic partners are Cisco, Dell, Citrix, Microsoft, Fujitsu, Lenovo, VMware, and Supermicro. Its technology partners include Rubrik, Commvault, Intel, Fujifilm, Brocade, Broadcom, Adobe, Iconik, Docker, SAP, and Milestone.
