Natter develops a virtual workplace communication tool that uses data analytics and intelligent algorithms to match employees for short video conversations (“natters”), emulating casual conversations between employees at physical offices.
Key customers and partnerships
As of November 2021, its software was being tested with early access partners including University College London, WeWork, Kraft Heinz, and World Remit. Its main use cases include providing mentorship programs, capturing employee feedback and insights in real time, promoting mental well-being check-ins, and employee onboarding. The platform also allows organizations to track and analyze employee engagement data.
Funding and financials
Natter emerged from stealth in November 2021 after developing its tool at WeWork’s Growth Campus in London and raised USD 1 million in a pre-seed funding round from a group of angel investors, including early investors in Ripple, Zuora, and Flexport. The funds will be allocated to product development and customer acquisition, with plans to onboard over 100,000 users.
