Stellar Pizza, founded by former Space-X engineers, develops a robotic-powered mobile pizza-making restaurant. The unit comprises an automated contactless system and four ovens that can prepare a pizza within five minutes and can produce one every 45 seconds (100+ pizzas an hour). The system takes raw pizza dough, presses and shapes it into a round crust, and adds sauce and toppings; after which, it is added into an oven. The company has made the recipes in collaboration with the pizza consultant, Noel Brohner, while also providing the option to customize pizzas with a range of topping options.
The company closed down operations but was acquired by Hanwha Foodtech, a food and beverage subsidiary of South Korea's Hanwha Hotels & Resorts ( March 2024 ). Following the acquisition, Hanwha Foodtech intends to revive Stellar Pizza and introduce the brand to Korea.
