Orbite

Orbite is a US-based space training company building a space gateway campus, which is claimed to be the world’s first. Founded by space and hospitality industry veterans Andrews and Nicolas Gaume, the company offers astronaut training and space experiences combining it with five-star hospitality, allowing participants to try the spaceflight experience before purchasing tickets to space.

The three-day, two-night Astronaut orientation program’s prices start at USD 15,000 and are limited to 10 participants. Brienna Rommes, ex-director of space training and research at the National Aerospace Training and Research Center leads the orientation program and has trained over 600 people (including Richard Branson). The program aims to prepare participants physically, mentally, and emotionally to travel to space and return safely and also provides insider information and hands-on experiences related to the future of civilian space travel. The Astronaut Training and Spaceflight Gateway Complex is slated to open in 2024 and has smaller programs up and running in Florida and France in the meantime.
