Six Flags Entertainment Corporation (NYSE: SIX) is the second-largest theme park operator in the US. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, the company owns and operates 27 amusement parks, 15 water parks and nine resort properties across North America.

Six Flags' parks feature a wide range of attractions including roller coasters, family rides, water attractions, and live entertainment. Some of the company's most popular thrill rides include Kingda Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure, which reaches speeds of 128 mph, and X2 at Six Flags Magic Mountain, a 4D coaster with rotating seats. For families, Six Flags offers areas themed after characters like Looney Tunes and DC Comics superheroes. Many locations also have adjacent water parks called Hurricane Harbor.

In July 2023, Six Flags merged with Cedar Fair to form a combined company worth approximately USD 8 billion. This merger created the largest regional theme park operator in North America, with a total of 42 properties across 17 US states as well as Canada and Mexico. While maintaining the Six Flags brand name, the company plans to leverage the strengths of both organizations to enhance guest experiences through new rides, attractions, and technology investments. As of August 2023, Six Flags reported increases in attendance and revenue, with total revenue of USD 444 million for Q2 2023.
