Aleph.im offers a blockchain-enabled open-source platform for users to access trusted off-chain data or computation for decentralized application (dApp) development purposes. The company also offers serverless access to computing power through its resource nodes that were launched in January 2022, to developers for them to create dApps. Additionally, the resource nodes (before this, Aleph.im’s virtual machine computing power was been driven by around 70 core channel nodes) also provide indexing, and storage capabilities. The platform is blockchain agnostic and provides data storage and business logic that runs on a decentralized network.
Users can use a single ID, controlled from a single wallet, to read and write data to any of the supported chains which include Ethereum, Solana, Binance chain and Polkadot among others. Aleph.im has also announced plans to activate storage nodes some time in 2022, to make the network capable of both decentralized processing and storage.
