Switchboard is a cloud-based coworking platform that lets users communicate via video and collaborate in real time using web-based applications within private or shared virtual workspaces (“rooms”). Users can add any URL, image, video, or non-web document to a Switchboard room and all team members can access and interact with them simultaneously. The platform offers video, audio, and chat tools, such as a breakout feature for one-on-one conversations to facilitate real-time communication, as well as meeting memory and interactive shared browsers to reduce preparation time for recurring meetings. Switchboard claims its platform to be secure and SOC 2 compliant, with no need for integration or plug-ins to use it.
As of April 2022, Switchboard holds five patents for its technology, while the platform is used by employees with highly-collaborative job roles such as product, project, and design managers.
