Intuitive Surgical (NASDAQ: ISRG) is a US tech company that operates in the healthcare sector and specializes in the development, manufacture, and marketing of surgical systems and robotic products that enable minimal invasive care. Intuitive Surgical, which is known as a pioneer in robotic-assisted surgery, is the developer of da Vinci Surgical Systems. In 2023, the company generated sales of USD 7.1 billion.  Intuitive Surgical operates under two segments: Products and Services.

The Products segment comprises three categories: Instruments and Accessories (provides energy, stapling, and core instrumentation for the company’s surgical systems); Systems (develops and manufactures advanced robotic systems like the da Vinci Surgical Systems and Ion Endoluminal System); and Learning (offers learning pathways for care teams, surgeons, and physicians for the safe and effective use of the company’s technology). The Services segment covers Readiness and Maintenance, Perioperative Consulting, Program Analytics, and Digital Solutions. Intuitive Surgical has two geographical segments: US (~66%) and Outside US (OUS) (~34%). The company will focus on regional growth outside the US as well as the growth of its single-port (da Vinci SP) platform, multi-port da Vinci penetration in new and existing procedure categories, and the flexible robotics (Ion) platform over the next three years (2023–2025). In 2023, it announced its carbon plan with short- and long-term decarbonization goals.
