Addiguru

Addiguru develops software solutions for additive manufacturing (AM), which can be integrated into existing AM equipment. The company offers software to monitor two main processes:

1) fused filament fabrication (FFF), which uses off-the-shelf cameras to identify anomalies like spaghetti, delamination, over extrusion, under extrusion, and nozzle clog while informing the user in real time and pausing printing if any anomalies are found.

2) laser powder bed fusion (LPBF), which uses inexpensive high-resolution cameras combined with computer vision and convolutional neural networks technologies to analyze layer-by-layer data. LPBF helps detect anomalies like powder bed anomalies, part elevation, spatter, recoater streaking, and recoater hopping to alert the user in real time if any anomalies are detected. 

Key customers and partnerships

Addiguru has partnered with AM workflow software provider Authentise in 2020 to integrate the two technologies to advance the Authentise Manufacturing Execution System (AMES). Some of their customers include Egar Tool & Die, Elementum, and Defense & Energy Systems LLC. 

Funding and financials

In September 2021, Addiguru received a grant (amount undisclosed) from “Launch Tennessee” under the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs, offered to selected innovative startups in the state.
