The Ish Food Company, founded in 2020, is a B-Corp-certified producer of plant-based seafood. In 2022, the company released its flagship product Shrimpish, made using green coconut, soy protein, konjac flour, tapioca, and a blend of other ingredients. In early 2023, Ish unveiled a plant-based salmon burger patty- Salmonish , made with natural ingredients like kelp. Salmonish is claimed to be high in protein and omega-3 fatty acids, and free from antibiotics, cholesterol, and mercury.
Key Partnerships
In August 2022 , the company allied with global seafood giant Thai Union and its subsidiary Chicken of the Sea Frozen Foods (COSFF). The partnership was to leverage Thai Union and COSFF resources to expand its customer reach of alternative seafood at cost-effective prices.
In March 2023 , ISH announced a non-exclusive distribution agreement with Dot Foods to expand its distribution across the continental US. Dot Foods operates a redistribution business, which it claims is the largest in the country.
