Itron offers technology infrastructure services such as smart networks, devices, sensors,  software, and data analytics for energy and water utilities and smart cities. Itron’s smart meter deployments for electricity utilities account for around 12% of the global smart meter market, excluding China (in 2018, as per latest available data). Itron also complements its smart meter deployments with grid analytics and distribution management software.Itron’s services revenue—which primarily includes revenue from software solutions for electricity utilities—was USD 284 million in 2020 (+0.7% YoY). Itron generates around 65% of its revenue in the US.
