Snugg is a Scottish fintech company that has developed a digital platform to simplify the process of improving home energy efficiency. Snugg's platform provides personalized recommendations for energy efficiency measures based on the user's address, property details, and energy consumption data. The platform uses data sources like Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) and the Energy Savings Trust's Home Analytics database to create a model of the user's property. It then employs the Energy Savings Trust's Dynamic Engine to evaluate various combinations of energy-saving measures to meet the user's budget and goals. Snugg generates a tailored action plan, highlighting the most cost-effective improvements and their potential savings on energy bills, property value increase, and carbon emissions reduction.

Snugg has partnered with organizations like EDF, one of the UK's largest energy generators, to integrate their installer networks into the platform. This collaboration allows users to request quotes from approved installers directly through Snugg, streamlining the process of finding trustworthy professionals to complete the recommended upgrades. The company has also developed a collaboration with Heat Save Scotland to provide similar services in certain areas of the Scottish Central Belt.

In July 2022, Snugg raised GBP 1.2 million in its first seed funding round from private investors to accelerate the development of its platform. As of December 2023, the company has launched the Home Efficiency Hub in partnership with EDF, providing a comprehensive digital solution for homeowners to explore energy efficiency measures, access relevant grants and funding, and connect with approved installers.
