California-based remote patient monitoring startup Miga Health is developing a consumer app for managing heart health. The app will facilitate at-home blood pressure monitoring and analysis, virtual consultations, medication delivery, and lifestyle coaching. The app will also include other educational content and non-clinical features. The app will be available across multiple states but will have clinical services in select states. In the long term, the firm plans to accept insurance for its services.
Key customers and partnerships
In September 2023 , the company partnered with Sana, a provider of self-funded health insurance, to offer Miga's heart health program for obesity, hypertension, diabetes, and hyperlipidemia to over 25,000 Sana Benefits members across 10 states.
Funding and financials
The company’s most recent investment took place in May 2022 amounting to USD 12 million raised in a seed funding round led by Quiet Capital. The funds were allocated to hire staff in order to build and launch their free consumer app, to include clinical care features focused on heart diseases within 2022.
