Based in Israel, AgriTask offers an agronomic management platform to stakeholders across the agricultural value chain, including investors, growers, governmental organizations, and insurance companies. The company operates a software-as-a-service (SaaS) business model.

The company’s platform “Agronomic Intelligence” uses data collected from sensors, satellites, and weather stations to provide data-driven insights on crop management, yield assessment, and risk management. The platform is also connected to AgriTask’s global data hub, where it is integrated with more than 70 agronomic systems and enterprise software, including partners such as John Deere, Airbus, and IBM’s The Weather company. As of January 2022, AgriTask’s solution monitored 50 different crop types and was used in over 35 countries, covering approximately two million hectares of farmland.

Agronomic Intelligence is also used by Food & Beverage (F&B)  companies to connect the latter with their suppliers and gain access to real-time and up-to-date information on plant growth, plant health, and yield from the farms. This reportedly helps the F&B companies to make data-driven predictions on supply and implement best practices to maximize yield and profitability.

In May 2024, The company has introduced a Risk Assessment Engine for its EUDR Compliance Solution that claims to offer an advanced algorithm to automate and optimize risk assessment, further enhancing Agritask’s comprehensive EUDR Solution that also uniquely enables traceability, mitigation actions and reports in line with the regulation’s due diligence process.

Key customers and partnerships

In June 2024,  AgriTask has partnered with Walmart to optimize sourcing decisions for seasonal fruit crops. In January 2024, The company has also partnered with Pessl Instruments, a real-time weather monitoring and modeling solutions provider, to integrate METOS weather stations into the Agritask platform.

AgriTask has also partnered with popular names like Heineken and Starbucks, who are using the solution for risk minimization, farm operations optimization, and sustainable sourcing. As of February 2022, the company had reported increased adoption of its platform by F&B companies during the previous two years.

Funding and financials

In February 2022, AgriTask raised USD 26 million in Series B funding led by the Liechtenstein Group. The funding was expected to support the development of the Agronomic Intelligence platform, increasing sales, and the expansion of its international team.
