Dig Security claims to provide the first cloud data detection and response (DDR) software-as-a-service app. The platform creates a threat model of all data assets in the public cloud based on a database of hundreds of real-life attacks. The platform leverages cloud data attack models to help organizations discover shadow data assets and monitor, detect, and respond to threats on data assets in public cloud environments (Microsoft Azure and AWS) in real time through a single unified policy engine. The platform provides context on each data asset including data classification by type and level of sensitivity, access auditing, data flows, and privilege analysis. It shows how data assets moves through an organization, how it is being used, and by whom in order to classify and prioritize risks, track whether each data source complies with standards such as SOC2 or HIPAA, and alert organizations on suspicious or anomalous activity in order to prevent data exfiltration and employee data misuse.
