Apogeo Space is an Italian company building a constellation of picosatellites to provide global telecommunications services for internet of Things (IoT) devices. The company's picosatellites, measuring 10x10x3 cm, are designed to connect low power and low data rate devices located in remote or poorly connected areas. The constellation began operations with the launch of its first nine test satellites in November 2023 via SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket. The company aims to complete its 96-satellite constellation by 2027, with plans to conduct 3-4 launches annually, each carrying nine satellites. Apogeo Space's services support various applications including agritech, integrated logistics, forest and glacier monitoring, oil and gas operations, hydrogeological basin management, and infrastructure monitoring.
