    Founded in 2017, RealEats offers healthy chef-prepared meals made with ingredients that are mostly sourced from local independent farmers residing close to its kitchen in upstate New York and other local agricultural communities. Its meal plans are individually portioned and include a variety of add-ons, available on a weekly subscription basis. Depending on the various plans available, the price of a meal could range between USD 5.60 and USD 10.50 per meal.&nbsp;

    To expand its geographic reach, the company partnered with fitness and nutrition supplements retail brand GNC in July 2021. It intended to make RealEats&rsquo; exclusive meal bundles available for purchase through the GNC website. The partnership was initially rolled out in pilot markets including Pittsburgh, Washington, DC, Florida, Texas, and New York. In June 2022, the company expanded the scope of this partnership across the US. As part of the expanded partnership, the meal bundles would be available for purchase and home delivery at GNC retail locations as well as via GNC&rsquo;s website. RealEats is reported to be the first fresh meal brand available for purchase through GNC's website.

    In October 2021, the company raised USD 16.3 million in a Series A funding round led by Hamilton Lane on behalf of the New York State Common Retirement Fund with participation from GNC. The company intended to use the funds to scale operations nationally and to facilitate the shift to a new facility spanning an area of 80,000 square feet in Geneva, New York. The company also plans to bolster its product pipeline and support a new meal line, expected to launch this year.&nbsp;
