Yardeye GmbH was a Germany-based company that provided automation, collision avoidance, and work zone protection solutions for the port and rail container industries. Its core offerings included RFID and GNSS-based equipment tracking systems, personnel Real Time Locating System (RTLS), and Collision Avoidance System (CAS). These solutions aimed to enhance safety and efficiency within container terminals.
In May 2022, Yardeye was acquired by Mi-Jack Products, a leading manufacturer of gantry cranes, container handling machinery, and technology for port and intermodal facilities. Yardeye's RTLS and CAS systems seamlessly integrated with Mi-Jack's Mi-Star technology platform, which offered capabilities like differential GPS automated steering, GPS inventory management, virtualized operations view, and centralized fleet management. The acquisition enabled Mi-Jack to provide an end-to-end automation solution with superior redundancy for the port and intermodal sectors.
