Soltage is a leading independent power producer that develops, finances, and operates distributed utility-scale solar and storage assets for utility, commercial, industrial, and municipal customers across the US. Soltage has a proven track record, having developed more than 125 solar energy projects with over 500 MW of total distributed generating capacity under construction and management. The company has invested over USD 1 billion into clean energy infrastructure since its founding in 2005. Soltage's business model focuses on developing, owning, and operating solar and storage assets, transitioning into a full Independent Power Producer (IPP) model.

In September 2023, global infrastructure investment manager Igneo Infrastructure Partners acquired a majority equity interest in Soltage. This transaction enabled Soltage to build out its 1.9 GW identified pipeline of solar and storage projects, including the company's first standalone battery storage project in New York.

Soltage has established itself as a leader in the community solar market, where power is sold directly to retail customers, as well as in the wholesale solar market, serving corporate and utility customers. The company has a diverse portfolio of projects, ranging from rooftop installations to utility-scale solar photovoltaic systems, spanning across 18 US states as of September 2023.

In addition to its solar offerings, Soltage has ventured into innovative practices such as agrivoltaics, integrating sheep grazing for vegetation management at a 28 MW solar project in Ohio constructed in 2022. The company has also implemented pollinator-friendly protocols, incorporating native vegetation to serve as critical habitats for local flora and fauna at its project sites.
