Interactio offers remote interpretation solutions for online, onsite, and hybrid meetings. The platform’s interpreters carry out real-time interpretations and it supports a range of integrations with third-party software, including Zoom and Webex, among others. The company claims its revenue grew twelvefold during 2020 while it hosted over 18,000 meetings with more than 390,000 participants across 70 countries. Its multilingual interpretation services are used by the UN, EC, European Parliament, and corporations such as BMW, JP Morgan, and Microsoft.
In May 2021, the company raised USD 30 million in a Series A funding round co-led by Eight Roads Ventures and Silicon Valley venture capital fund Storm Ventures. The round includes participation from existing backers Practica Capital, Notion Capital, and Change Ventures, as well as angel investors Jaan Tallinn (co-founder, Skype) and Young Sohn (former CSO, Samsung).
The fresh funds will be funneled toward expanding its customer base to enterprise clients, product development, and expanding its current team of 130 across the US and Europe (particularly Lithuania).
