Kaleidoco, established by film industry veterans Jennifer Tuft and Cassandra Rosenthal, is an entertainment technology company that specializes in creating mixed reality interactive entertainment.
This includes the ‘Particle Ink Metaverse’, an original transmedia property that represents a parallel reality known as the 2.5th dimension. This narrative forms the basis of Kaleidoco's AR mobile gaming, where the story unfolds in an interactive and immersive environment.
The company’s ‘Augmented Unification’ tech uses cameras to facilitate natural interactions between virtual and physical worlds, and its ‘Augmented Displays Multi-Surface’ tech enhances interactivity by projecting images into a spatially-aware three-dimensional physical environment.
Additionally, Kaleidoco’s patent-pending AR multi-viewer technology allows for community-based experiences by enabling users to simultaneously view AR content from any angle in real time. This was launched in the Las Vegas Arts District.
Funding and financials
Kaleidoco raised USD 7 million in seed funding from blockchain and gaming investors including Animoca Brands and GameFi Ventures in June 2022. The funds were allocated for growth and strategic hires.
Key competitors: None comparable (Kaleidoco's AR multi-viewer technology is unique in the seed stage)
