Current Health is a B2B remote patient monitoring platform, offering at-home health care services. The company provides patients with a pre-configured home kit that includes its own US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) cleared biosensor, OmniVitals, to record patient vitals. The company claims the wearable device can monitor vitals with the same accuracy as an ICU monitor. The information is available for review by doctors via the platform and if any abnormalities are detected, Current Health’s 24/7 triage team determines the appropriate steps to be taken which could include a telehealth visit with the patient’s doctor.
In addition, Current Health offers hospital-at-home programs to manage high-risk patients by incorporating remote monitoring, AI-based smart alerts, and integrated telemedicine to avoid hospitalization. Once the patient recovers, the at-home kit is collected from the patient, recycled, and delivered back to the hospital. The company also launched a range of in-home services in August 2021 together with Workpath for blood draws and ScriptDrop for medication delivery. Current Health plans to collaborate with other startups to expand its offering to include services such as transportation and in-home infusion therapy.
