Love Your Miles

Based in the UK, Love Your Miles is a usage-based insurance (UBI) provider. Customers provide an estimate on how many miles they drive each year and the company quotes a price for a 12-month policy and provides a device (MileMeter) to install into the car to track the mileage. The company claims to provide insurance from the day the policy was purchased and customers have seven days to install the MileMeter and can also opt to pay on a monthly basis.

Customers can track the miles driven, manage the policy, and conduct claims through its mobile app, with the ability to top up additional miles until the renewal date should the user run out of covered miles, with the additional miles being charged at pence per mile rate. However, if less miles than quoted were driven during the year, the customer receives a discount on the renewal price.

Key customers and partnerships

Love Your Miles presently uses Trakm8’s telematics device to track the mileage driven. In July 2022, it awarded an additional contract to the latter to build devices, a custom app, and digital platform for its auto insurance products.

The company’s auto insurance policies are underwritten by a group of underwriters based in the UK.
