Kayna is an insurance infrastructure platform that enables embedded insurance distribution through vertical software-as-a-service (SaaS) platforms. The company provides technology and data orchestration between insurance carriers, brokers, and vertical SaaS platforms to distribute relevant insurance products to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Founded in 2021, Kayna's platform tracks real-time business data changes through SaaS platforms to enable insurers and brokers to conduct dynamic reviews of insurance coverage and adapt policies according to SMBs' evolving needs. The platform monitors various business metrics including payroll shifts, trading revenue fluctuations, property maintenance, and stock changes to ensure businesses maintain appropriate insurance coverage. The company's low-code technology facilitates integration with any vertical SaaS platform, allowing platform customers to access indicative quotes, pre-filled applications, and automated policy generation. Kayna was developed in the Founders Factory Venture Studio in collaboration with Aviva and participated in the Lloyd's Lab Accelerator Programme Cohort 9. The company won the 2023 InsurTech NY's Carrier/Broker Competition for Global Early-Stage Insurtech.
