Ernst & Young (EY) is a privately owned, global multidisciplinary professional services organization and is considered one of the Big Four accounting firms in the world. EY generated revenue of USD 49.4 billion in FY2023 (year ending June 30th).

EY’s operations are divided into four primary segments: Assurance, Tax & Law, Consulting, and Strategy & Transactions. Through these segments, the company offers a range of products and services such as Audit Services, Tax Services, Legal Services, and Corporate Finance for enterprise customers. It also provides consumers with platforms such as EY Canvas (an online audit platform) and EY Nexus (a business transformation platform).

EY operates in 22 regions around the world across three main geographic areas: the Americas; Europe, the Middle East, India, and Africa (EMEIA); and Asia-Pacific. In September 2022, the company revealed it was in talks to split into two organizations: one would be a new global corporate entity that focuses on Strategy & Transactions, Consulting, Managed Services, and the majority of Tax, while the other would be a global network of multidisciplinary member firms that provide assurance, tax, and advisory services. In July 2024, EY announced a new global strategy to double its current revenue. EY achieved carbon negative status in FY2022 and plans to achieve net zero emissions by 2025.
