CreatorDAO

CreatorDAO is a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) that facilitates its creator community to invest in each other in exchange for a percentage of their future earnings, and be rewarded for their contributions to the community through mentorships and collaborations. In November 2022, the company launched a creator contest titled “#TheSearch” funded by top creators such as Jake Paul, The Chainsmokers, and Paris Hilton. The contest sought to reward the next big social media creator with USD 1 million in exchange for 20% of their earnings over the next 10 years. This followed the launch of Creator Launchpad (September 2022), a project to impart the knowledge and experience of established DAO creatives with a small group of up-and-coming creators.As of August 2022, the platform is accepting applications from YouTubers for early DAO membership, and a group of leading creators, including Paris Hilton, The Chainsmokers, Shawn Johnson, Andrew East, and Joma Tech, with a combined reach of over 50 million viewers, have already joined the platform to share their time, expertise, and/or earnings with the community.

Funding and financials

In August 2022 , the company raised USD 20 million in a seed funding round led by a16z crypto and Initialized Capital. The funds were raised to accelerate growth and expand its operations and business reach.
