Plant Path (formerly The Plant Pathways Company) is a plant breeding company that specializes in improving the stevia crop, delivering a natural sugar alternative from stevia, and improving human health. Plant Path uses data-driven breeding programs to improve crop performance, enhance crop yield potential, and increase resilience against environmental factors.

The company combines advanced technologies, including genome sequencing, supercomputing, plant biochemistry, and advanced omics technologies in its processes. Plant Path has a Breeding by Design approach, which analyzes every aspect of the target crop, including how it functions within farm production and food manufacturing. 

The stevia plant’s properties can combat obesity, diabetes, and heart disease since the steviol glycosides are non-caloric and do not raise blood glucose. The steviol glycosides are 200x–350x sweeter than sugar, facilitating a natural sweetness in small portions and as an alternative to sugar. The stevia ​​natural sweetener can be extracted from the plant and integrated into products without needing additives, resulting in fewer ingredients on product labels.
